Job Type: Garbage Disposal Repair |
Job Location: Kelton Ave., 90064
Customer Symptoms:
We received a call from a client who had requested a technician come out and investigate why his garbage disposal wasn’t working properly. He didn’t know if there was something stuck in the unit or if there could be another cause of the unit breaking.
Issue:
After speaking with the client, the technician determined that the client’s cat had jumped up on the kitchen sink and knocked his daughter’s baby spoon into the unit. While this may have been part of the problem, the client also stated that the disposal had not been working for a few days before that had happened.
Resolution:
The technician cut the power, used a flashlight to identify the location of the spoon and used tongs to remove the obstruction. The technician then decided to reset the disposal by letting it cool down and then pushing the reset button on the bottom of the unit. The technician ran cold water and ensured that the disposal was functioning correctly.
