Customer Symptoms:

A homeowner contacted us to see if our services included garbage disposer installations. We assured him that we had the right technicians and tools to complete the job successfully.

Issue:

The technician needed to make sure that the unit the homeowner had bought would fit into his sink and that the sink had access to a power supply so that the fixture could properly operate.

Resolution:

The technician turned the water off to the home and began by connecting the wires and securing the flange to the hole with putty. Before mounting the disposer, the technician needed to make sure that the backup ring, fiber gasket and mounting ring were all installed properly so that he would not need to go back and take the unit apart. He was then able to mount the garbage disposer and attach it to the p-trap. He tightened the lugs and turned the water back on to the home to test the unit before leaving the property.
