Customer Symptoms:

A woman called us to schedule a technician to come to her home after her garbage disposer stopped working.

Issue:

We sent a technician to assess the situation, and he found out that the unit was quiet which likely indicated an electrical malfunction. He checked the circuit breaker and found that it hadn’t tripped, so he informed the client that it was most likely a faulty switch or a defective garbage disposal.

Resolution:

He turned off the circuit breaker and replaced the switch before restoring power to the unit. The technician checked to make sure that the disposer was operational before leaving the residence.
