Customer Symptoms:

After receiving a report from a customer who smelled gas in his home, we immediately sent a technician to the residence.

Issue:

Our technician shut off the gas to the property right away to prevent an explosion and saw that the only gas lines to the home were for heat. He dug a small trench in the yard to locate the pipe and then inserted a camera where he found that a tree root had grown into the pipe.

Resolution:

He disconnected the damaged pipe and replaced it with a new one before reattaching the line and filling in the trench.
