Ritz Plumbing is looking for an organized, dependable Dispatcher to help coordinate our field service team throughout Los Angeles County. This position plays an important role in keeping our daily operations running smoothly by communicating with customers, scheduling service calls, and making sure technicians have the information they need to get to each job on time.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced service environment, can manage multiple priorities at once, and communicates professionally with both customers and technicians. Previous dispatching experience in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, restoration, construction, or another home service industry is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and dispatch technicians to residential and commercial service calls.
- Coordinate daily routes based on technician availability, location, urgency, and customer needs.
- Communicate appointment details and updates with customers.
- Maintain communication with technicians throughout the workday.
- Respond to schedule changes, cancellations, delays, and emergency service requests.
- Enter and update customer and job information accurately.
- Help prioritize urgent plumbing and service calls.
- Work closely with office staff and field technicians to maintain an efficient schedule.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service over the phone.
- Assist with administrative and scheduling duties as needed.
Skills
- Previous dispatching or scheduling experience preferred.
- Home service, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, or construction experience is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Comfortable working with computers, scheduling systems, and customer information.
- Ability to stay calm and organized in a fast-paced environment.
