Job Description

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This role requires a strong understanding of HVAC systems and the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively. The HVAC Technician will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure optimal performance of HVAC equipment in residential and commercial settings.

Responsibilities

  • Install new HVAC systems and components according to specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance on heating and cooling systems to ensure efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with HVAC equipment using tools such as an ohmmeter.
  • Repair or replace defective parts and components in HVAC systems.
  • Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings to understand system layouts.
  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding system performance and repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of service performed, including parts used and time spent on each job.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and field service teams to complete projects efficiently.

Skills

  • Proficiency in using tools such as ohmmeters for diagnostics.
  • Experience as a service technician in the HVAC field is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical skills with the ability to perform appliance repair tasks.
  • Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus.
  • Ability to weld and plumb as needed for system installations or repairs.
  • Familiarity with building codes and safety regulations related to HVAC work.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
